With the introduction of the new 5p charge for plastic carrier bags which started on the 5th October 2015, we will be donating the proceeds from the sale of these bags to charity. Charities were nominated by our staff with the decision being taken to support the following seven charities throughout the Northwest. The money generated will be split 50% to go to Macmillan with the remaining 50% being split equally between our seven local charities. Twice a year we will present each of these charities with a cheque, our aim is to support those charities that are situated within our communities across the North West. We take a great deal of pride in contributing to local charities. Listed below are the details of the organisations that we are supporting throughout 2015/16. During October we generated £976 and in November £852 which means to date we have a current charity pot of £1,828.
We would like to thank all our staff and customers for getting involved and nominating the seven charities to be supported during 2015/16
